Batch Resize & Compress Images: A Fast Workflow

Need to prepare lots of images for web or social? This workflow shows how to batch resize and compress quickly without uploading files to a server.

Steps

  1. Open the Image Resizer & Compressor: /image-compressor
    Step 1 — Open the tool

  2. Drag-and-drop all your images or click to choose.
    Step 2 — Add images

  3. Choose a resize mode (Width, Height, or Percent) and set your target (e.g., width = 1600px).
    Step 3 — Set resize options

  4. Pick output format and quality:

    • Photos: WebP or JPEG at ~80% quality
    • Graphics with text/transparency: PNG or lossless WebP
      Step 4 — Choose format & quality
  5. Click “Process,” then download your optimized images.
    Step 5 — Download results

  • Naming: Add suffixes (e.g., -1600w) to keep originals and variants organized.
  • Consistency: Keep one aspect ratio per campaign for a cohesive look.
  • Targets: Aim for <200 KB for inline images when possible; test visual quality.
